I was traveling on Google Maps

Street Views of places

abandoned factories

drug houses

diners of yesterday

fake Nikes hanging from power lines

it all made sense

the cursor flies high

over bits and bytes

satellites, countries' border lines

I went from Detroit to Montreal

to Kelowna and Greenland

Oakland to Auckland

and then I came back from this other planet

called Google Earth
